Hi,
Just to add that videos of flashlight beams underwater are by far unable to show the real light: only the centerbeam is correctly exposed and all the corona is lost.
To get some decent video at night i needed to rip a 5000 lumen torch apart, lift the LED plate 15mm and replace the lens with a flat polycarbonate and a spacer ring: the torch was then transformed in a good quality video light but to hunt with it is good only for pighvar (and by the way it is excellent for that as it in the shallow sand is like to be in sunlight).
Topper is absolutely on spot with his observations.
I dive with both standard and tech version and it depend very much on visibility and what i’m looking for: for trouts in shallow i prefer the tech and for torsk in deeper water or around harbours then the standard is my preferred light as it widen the field of view.
Unfortunately the C1600 is out of production until the new body design is ready… hopefully soon.
Ciao
