@Lamberto: If I buy a 5 degree filter, can I mount it directly on the Tech light, or do I need additional accessories?
You can mount it directly on the Tech frontring: there is a small gap opposite to the retaining spring. You will slid the tongue of the filter inside there and lock it woth the spring.
To explain to the public why the filters cost a little fortune: they look line sandblasted glass or painted plastic but in reality is polycarbonate plastic with thousands of microlenses per square millimeter and the light will be spread in a very controlled angle without any major loss of light as it would have with other cheaper materials.
