Dmytri BrezhnievDeltagerGreetings to all Danish spearfisher!
I was using google chrome to translate all what you were taking about, and steel have some questions…
I have some expirience with freshwater spearfishing back from my home – lakes and rivers, but as i know here it’s illegal.
So sea hunting for me it’s totaly new thing.
I’m searching for a company to spearfish together, also looking for some good spots or explanations of the right tactik.
I live between Horsens and Vejle, have a car, have wish to do spearfish any possible moment.
Please comrads, )) -

Jégwan KaaberDeltagerHi vetrack,
Thank you and welcome to the forum. You’re welcome to contact me, if you come to Sealand. I live near Korsør/Storebælt and know the spots here.
One of my hobbies are pneumatic spearguns, so I also know a little about the Ukrainian spearfishing and speargun history. It would be cool to learn more about it from you here on the forum.
Best regards,

Mads BroeDeltagerWelcome on board, I think you’ll like it here.:)
As for dive buddies I’m sure you can find someone in your local area who’d happily show you a couple of spots, and as for tactics it’s fairly complicated to go into details, but the following works pretty well most places around here.
In no particular order:
Flatties can be often be found on sand or gravel within a few meters of weed or reefs, Turbut and Brill can usually be caught by hand, the rest it’s easier to just stab through the head. Be aware that the Sole is way stronger than one would expect.
Sea trout draws close to the coast at night, try looking for them in the weed, but near sandy stretches. Sometimes you can “guide” them with the torch, if you shine to the left of them they go right and vice versa. I don’t know the bottom conditions you’re used to, but up here you’re almost guaranteed a busted speartip if you slam it into the bottom, so try making your shots from the side of the fish, on the same level (season closed from Nov 16th – Jan 15th).
When we have on-shore wind the visibility drops rapidly, so usually a spot should have had off-shore wind for a few days before it’s worth the trouble.
Eels are off-limits all year ’round as long as you’re using a speargun, you can catch’em on rod though.
Mullets are probably the most armored fish we have in our waters, so make sure you get really close before taking a shot.
I don’t know if you’re used to diving with a float, but up here it’s considered more or less mandatory for your own safety, and if you dive at night, put a marker light on it so your buddy can find you.
Don’t shoot a Weever until you know exactly what you’re dealing with, you do not want to get stung by one of those. I think most DK spearos avoid them, but once you know how to handle them they are definitely worth the risk if you ask me.
Meh, that’s all I have for now.:)

Dmytri BrezhnievDeltagerThanks for advices!
Read the rules, ask for add to the Facebooks groups.
Enjoed the article of tacktiks.
Very useful.
All the time before i went to spearfishing i was used the DMI Vejr and Sejlsikker programms, to be sure about wind and flow.
Since I started here i shooted few codfish, few Lure or Pollachius pollachius and few Turbuts(flat fish).
Also I have seen one fish which was look like a mullet, but that was to fast for me 😉
I was trying a lot places around Vejle harbor, but only next 2 bring me some results:Trelde Neas
The plase between Fredericia and Kolding;
While i was hunting i was so quit and carefull, but have never seen the sea trout….

Jégwan KaaberDeltagerThe best time to spot Sea trout is at night close to the shore. They like the areas with a variation of sand, large stones and seaweed. I have never dived at Trelde Næs, but the right side of the Næs looks like a good spot.
You need a diver flashlight with min. 600 lumen output for night diving.

trawlerDeltagerif you fish Trelde Næs during night time, towards the tip / around to the old german bunker, I would be very surprised if you don’t meet a seatrout this time a year.

Dmytri BrezhnievDeltagerI was Trelde Næs today – making reconnaissance =)
And found very interesting picture.
First of all i found the old german bunker, all the right side of Trelde Næs was like cappucino 😉
Then i went a little bit back towards to the harbor, as closer to the harbor territory i went, as clearly was the water.Few more questions guys,
How is the level of water affect on visability and fish, i mean like flood- tide(high level) and low-tide(low level) of the sea?Attachments: -

trawlerDeltagerthat cappucino must be due to recent wind and waves, maybe also heavy rainfall, and not that much tidal changes. Check http://ifm.fcoo.dk/ up till your dive, you can click uk flag in the top right side. Use play-forward-backward buttons, and check windforce, wave directions etc. for the planned hours of diving and also aprox. 1-2 days before (you can only go 1 day backward, so check the site the day before), to see if the coast has been beaten. It normally requires a couple of days with offshore / calm waters to clear up.

Mads BroeDeltagerFew more questions guys,
How is the level of water affect on visability and fish, i mean like flood- tide(high level) and low-tide(low level) of the sea?I’d say vis. is pretty much the same at high tide and low tide, what you need to look out for is wind speed/direction, rain, and current.
In addition to what trawler posted, I’ll advise you to also take a look at the weather in opposite direction of the current, although everything says you should have good visibility, it can get ruined by a downpour a couple of km’s away because the current brings along sediments washed out elsewhere. I hope it makes sense.
